Journal Search via Primo

The "Journal Search" Option in Grinnell's Catalog Primo

This search allows you to see if Grinnell has access to a particular journal title.  You are not searching for articles at this point, just for the Journal itself.

Step 1 ~ Get to the catalog by just typing any word in the Catalog search box on the Grinnell Library webpage - this is just to get you into the catalog.

Step 2 ~ In Primo, look at the top menu bar and find the three dots  . . . and click on them.

Step 3 ~ From the next screen choose "Journal Search"

Step 4 ~ Type in the title of the Journal you want to search.  Remember this is not an article title but the title of the Journal an article may be in.

Step 5 ~ Click on the title if the Journal Comes up.

Step 6 ~ Look for the section called "View Full Text" or "Get Item" and this will tell you what years are covered by Grinnell's subscription.

Step 7 ~ Click on the link in View Full Text.  This will take you to the journal and a list of issues.  Then you can browse, or usually search the journal.  Example :
