Garland Encyclopedia of World Music Online This link opens in a new window Comprehensive online resource devoted to research on world music. Features overviews of various regions with a survey of its musical heritage, traditions and themes, and a description of specific musical genres, practices, and performances. Images and audio files are included. A print version with CDs is available at Burling reference.
RILM: Abstracts of Music Literature This link opens in a new window 1967–present. Comprehensive database to scholarly literature on music. Indexes articles, bibliographies, books, catalogues, conference proceedings, critical commentaries to complete works, dissertations, electronic resources, ethnographic recordings and videos, festschriften, iconographies, reviews, and more. Naxos Music Library This link opens in a new window Streaming music service primarily for the genres of classical music, contemporary jazz, and world/folk, with New Age, pop/rock, and Chinese orchestral music represented as well.
