LIbrary Outreach

Library Lounge setup

The library lounge has 2 ways of allowing people to present.

The lounge monitor is usually displaying the computer pictured here:

This is recommended only if the presenter does not have sound, and has a straight forward presentation.

There is now a dock, pictured below:

Where laptops can be connected with 1 cord for the monitor, speakers, and webcam.

See instructions below!

Presentation setups

First, for a laptop switch the television to HDMI 2. This can be done with the remote or on the back right of the monitor.

Under the mini computer there is a dock:

Connected to the dock is a cord

Connect this cord to the laptop either through the USB C connection or plug the USBC end into the adaptor and use that

If there is any connection issue, check for the extension cord (as pictured below) and make sure it is connected well.

The desktop computer is a very simple computer. If the presenter has a complicated presentation or is wanting to connect someone virtually, they may not want to use the desktop. THERE IS NO SOUND. The sound system is connected to the dock. It is recommended to use a laptop if the presenter has video or a more complicated presentation. If they didn't bring one there are laptops available at the circulation desk.

First, make sure the sound cord is connected to the desktop.

The TV should already be on HDMI 1, but if not change it through the back right of the monitor or through source on the remote.

Thumbdrives, usb drives, etc. can be connected to the back of the desktop computer. Unless USB A, where there is one port for in the front.

Finally, the wireless mouse and keyboard are in the podium.
