This guide provides information about submitting to Grinnell College's Repository, Digital Grinnell

How to Submit - Students

Students must include the name of the faculty or staff member who is recommending their submission.

  • Only submit completed works (whether in manuscript or final formatted form), not works in progress. 
  • For each work, be sure you have the right to make it open access (see the Open Access &  Copyright entries).
    • Journal articles: Not sure if you have the right to make your journal article freely available online? Consult your publishing agreement and/or SHERPA/RoMEO (link below) ,a site that summarizes publishers' policies on whether or not their authors can post their articles online.
    • Book contributions: Not sure if you have the right to make your book chapter or section freely available online? Consult your publishing agreement and/or inquire with the publisher.
  • For each work, make sure you have the following:
  • (1) title,
  • (2) brief, informative abstract,
  • (3) descriptive keywords (max. 10)
  • (4) an electronic copy of the file or a link to the file online
  • (5) for artworks, dimensions and media and materials used
